Mom's Review

You may recall Lost and Found in History - this is a companion book, but featuring mythology. Readers are introduced to different mythologies from around the globe and invited to find different items hidden in the initial two-page spread. A second two-page spread offers more specifics about different gods and legends, offering fun graphics with well-known personalities addressing the reader directly through speech bubbles. This is a very fun and accessible way to learn rudimentary mythology, but young children who are already familiar with Zeus, the Monkey King, or Kukulkan will want more than this offers. However, I expect that even if a reader is familiar with one region's mythology, they will encounter new information about a different region if they bounce around the whole book. I think it's awesome and recommend it for curious kids.
