Harlow the Highland Cow Doesn't Know How to Moo
Written by Brooke Hartman

Mom's Review
You'll get into the rhythm and start chanting as you read Harlow, only to get sidelined and start laughing at poor Harlow's attempts at mooing! The reactions of the other animals are hilarious as Harlow fails spectacularly. Each delightfully terrible attempt interrupts a litany of what Harlow can do, which is all kinds of non-cow activities, from climbing a ladder to rescue kittens (one's blue and spotted) to crocheting socks for sheep and stringing lights around the henhouse. Hartman and Leshnikoff are clearly having fun playing fast and loose with barnyard dynamics, and that makes for a jolly read! This is one that demands reading aloud and throwing yourself into the silliness wholeheartedly!
