Mom's Review

What a spectacular Passover story! Set in Washington, D.C., during the Great Depression, The Passover Guest is the fictional story of a miracle on the holy day. Little Muriel despairs of any kind of seder, but a strange juggler she passes on the street encourages her to hurry home and not miss sunset. She arrives to an almost empty table, but the stranger arrives and performs a miracle to feed the entire community in Muriel's small apartment. When she realizes she never opened the door for Elijah, she also notices that his cup is empty, and understands just who that stranger was. The Passover Guest is a delightful holiday story that combines faith, tradition, and wonder.
