Mom's Review

The Irish Village Mystery series is one of my favorites, and this latest installment further cements that opinion! Murder at an Irish Session offers so much: Siobhan's obnoxious mother-in-law whom we love to hate, believable and funny sibling dynamics, an enchanting relationship between Siobhan and Dara, and a perplexing murder to solve that kept me on the edge of my seat for the whole three days it took me to read the book. And it took three days because I was trying to make it last. The premise is that pregnant Siobhan is trying to determine who murdered an obnoxious matchmaker at a matchmaking and music festival in her village. O'Connor again made a plausible murder with just the right amount of twists that had me guessing several wrong culprits before the true murderer was revealed. This is one of my top picks of the series - but you need to start at the beginning to really appreciate every aspect of the book.
