The Tattered Cover is the latest installment in The Secret, Book, and Scone Society series. While the plot and characters offer continuity with the previous books, this offers a slight shift with the life changes experienced by more than one character. I won't spoil lit with specifics, but I will say that I like the shift. Adams keeps the relationship dynamics fresh and believable with the changes the characters face. The mystery itself is just as delightful to try and solve as in the previous books - the number of twists are to my taste, as is the neat way they are untangled at the end! Not to mention the spooky ambiance of investigating a murdered medium at Halloween. The Tattered Cover is the epitome of a cozy mystery and one you must read if you've started the series...there's something you will feel satisfied, but also sad, about. Man, it is hard to talk about what I loved without spoilers. Suffice it to say that Ellery Adams did not let me down and did keep me on the edge of my seat. I can't wait for the next book!!!!!
