Mom's Review
I love the whimsy of Take a Walk with the Wind. This picture book in translation personifies the wind and introduces the sweet young Treeling of ancient Chinese lore. As Wind blows the Treeling along on their walk, the Treeling is whisked through the air and in and out of other beings' lives as the wind plays through the forest. A beautiful and remarkable tour of the region offers the reader the chance to take a step into the Treeling's magical world. Take a Walk with the Wind delights the reader as Wind causes mischief, while the also inspiring imagination and appreciation for another culture and its body of literature. The beautiful illustrations and dynamic tale will welcome the reader for countless re-reads, I'm sure.
