Mom's Review

I honestly wasn't sure what to expect from the Sign and Rhyme series. I thought the idea had potential, and I am so happy to see how these books turned out! I like them for three primary reasons. First, I've seen several books with signs, and this is by far the easiest to follow for me, because of the descriptions of the finger positions and movements included for the adult reading to the baby/toddler. Second, they are accessible to children of different abilities/stages of development. The "Hey Diddle, Diddle" nursery rhyme will be familiar, and the actions accompanying "If You're Happy and You Know It" offer accessibility to an audience who may not be jump up high or shout. Third, disability representation! Some of the kids sport eye patches or helmets or other gear. You know I love books that present kids with different needs as part of normal society! If you are looking for books with signs for your baby or toddler, I say check these out for sure!
