Night Flight
is perfect for children who miss their parents when a babysitter is the one tucking them in at night. This gentle story features a little boy who can't fall asleep and is invited by a friendly pterosaur to fly over the city until he spies his dads. Together they fly across the sky, with the boy landing safely in bed with his dads tucking him in again after a brief episode of fear. Validating the loneliness, the restless, and the possible fear children have when left with a babysitter, Night Flight reassures the reader that parents return and that the intimate family unit is whole and loving even when parents have a night out. The soothing blue tones and soft lines of the pictures along the comforting story lull the audience into tranquility at bedtime. Beautiful!
