Mom's Review

Tomorrow I'm in Charge! sure makes a point of how obnoxious the kid who always has to be in change and make the rules is. I think we've all been in a group where someone insists on everything being done a certain way - maybe we've even been that person. Tomorrow spotlights how the behavior can alienate others and lose you your friends.

Bear and Weasel just can't agree, and when Badger's attempts to mediate and compromise are ignored, he ultimately leaves. It's a hard lesson, but an important one to learn. This example is a good launchpad for talking about bossiness and collaboration. The animals are adorably drawn, but I do think the story would be more relatable with human characters. On the other hand, kids who need a degree of separation between themselves and the story (maybe they might be the bossy one?) might find the moral easier to swallow with animals.
