Mom's Review

I don't think I've ever seen such hilariously expressive and aggressive vegetables! Their expressions are absolutely perfect, and if I could use more superlatives to laud the fun-ness of the illustrations, I would. The way the asparagus constructs a catapult from a measuring cup! And those tomatoes wielding a whisk as they prepare to attack! I was laughing aloud as I read this to myself - a grown adult reading all by herself. So imagine how much fun you'll have reading it to your little one, or - even better - how much fun your little one will love it.

The broccoli really is out to get the little girl at dinner time in this bright picture book, but oh how the tables turn when the girl finally decides to chomp a floret her dad insisted on mixing into her mac and cheese. Veggies flee in fear! Broccoli is Trying to Kill Me brings life to the animosity between children and vegetables. It's hilarious while acknowledging children's feelings and also prodding them gently to gain the upper hand and take a bite out of those vegetables. The new publication is a win for veggie avoiders!
