Tiwi in Paris gave me goosebumps! What a terrifying experience to be lost in Paris for days and unable to speak French! The book's creator, Glen Farmer Illortaminni, conveys his real-life experience in a sympathetic and visually beautiful way. Meeting helpful strangers and indifferent police, Glen finds himself woven into the rich fabric of urban humanity, until he finally meets one person who actually offer him the help he needs.
This is the type of story that is suspenseful because of the positive ending. Had he not been found, it would have been a tragic tale. Because we know from the outset that he lives to tell the tale, we can safely enjoy Glen's adventure. Tiwi in Paris is an excellent window that invites readers to experience Paris by walking alongside a non-Parisian. It is an excellent book that I cannot recommend highly enough.
