Mini Designers
is such a cool activity book! Each of the 20 projects is based on an iconic artist's work. The piece is introduced, discussion prompts urge the reader to consider the piece and the context in which the readers themselves might create, and how the readers relate to their own environments. The project inspired by the piece is laid out with clear directions accompanied by photographs. Two of my favorites are the illuminated manuscript/decorated initial and the Bruno Manari's useless machines/hanging mobile projects. The variety of styles, media, and periods will appeal to a wide range of tastes and ability levels. So fun!!!
