Who hasn't heard of a Tiffany lamp? Well, they are a misnomer! The iconic stained glass lamps were conceived of, designed, and created by Clara Driscoll, an Ohio native who worked for Tiffany. Making Light Bloom is the story of why and how she brought her idea to life - the idea to illuminate a glass garden, not with daylight from outside a building, but rather with lamplight. Beautifully told and illustrated to look like Driscoll's own stained glass designs, this non-fiction picture book shares a fascinating trust about a well-known piece of American art history. A must-read for little ones!
