Yogev's illustrations convey Shoshi's energy and movement through bright colors and bold graphics, emphasizing the titular character's enthusiasm for life from the start. While the title, Slow Down, Shoshi!, may sound like an admonition, the tone of the book holds no reprimand for Shoshi's eagerness, even when she forgets things in her haste. Slow Down invites readers to share a day with Shoshi, revel in her favorite responsibilities and relax with her under the stars, all against a backdrop of a family of faith.
