There is a wealth of material to laud in Frank's Red Hat - I heartily encourage you to read it. The hilarity of Frank's endeavors to get penguins to wear hats and their efforts to escape him. The sweetness of the seals. The subplot with the walrus. Or the ever-present threat of being eaten by a killer whale "in one big bite." The words and illustrations are woven together seamlessly to create a rich picture book that cries out to be read aloud. Again and again.
