The Infinite Glade (Maze Cutter #3)

Mom's Review
The Infinite Glade is the action-packed finale to the Maze Cutter trilogy and the Maze Runner saga. And what a thrilling conclusion it is! Infinite Glade is a page-turner, an adrenaline rush, and simultaneously a satisfying close to an epic journey. Without spoiling anything, I can say that fan can be at peace with how Dashner closed the saga.
The Infinite Glade offers dual storylines and four perspectives. With most alternating-viewpoint books I read, I develop a marked preference for particular storylines or points of view. Not so with Infinite Glade. I was surprised to find that each narrator's - each character's - perspective was just as compelling, just as integral to the story. Each offers a crucial piece to their respective storylines, and both storylines unfold concurrently. The fast pace and the first-person perspectives made the events feel more immediate and pulled me in deeply. As Isaac and Ximena try to find the other Islanders and better understand the Cure, and as Minho learns the truth of the Godhead and tries to bring his contingent Islanders back to Isaac, pieces of the truth are revealed to readers and to the characters (though more piecemeal for them). Infinite Glade is just as much about revealing the truth behind the Maze Runner world as it is about personal revelation, trust, and what it means to be family. Readers follow Isaac and Ximena as they peel back layers of truth and build trust, and Minho as he recognizes his innate value. Exciting, compelling, eye-opening? Absolutely! Moving and thought-provoking as well? Definitely!
My introduction to the Maze Runner world was over a decade ago. The Infinite Glade is a most excellent culmination.
