Mom's Review

A gardening girl with a cat? Irresistible cover art! And when you open the book, it gets even better! The pictures are so sweet, the cat's antics adorable, and Peggy and her mom's expressions absolutely relatable. Peggy wants to help with everything and is about as successful as you'd expect a kiddo in pre-K to be. Her mom is encouraging, but you can just see that she is really exercising patience as Peggy pulls out the herb, spills the water, and eats unripe tomatoes. Peggy is having the time of her life! Uzu recalls the joys of childhood and the positive impact parents can have on their children by patiently allowing mistakes during the emergence of independence. This little picture book is of big value!
