I gravitate toward books that introduce a young audience to art and artists - I've been taking T to our local museum since he was a baby and we've found that books featuring new and familiar art have been a great way to enhance the connection with and appreciation for art. I love how accessible this Miffy book makes art for young readers. Bruna invites readers to engage with the art and consider their own opinions, imagination, and reaction to Matisse, Kahlo, and more. Back matter offers details about each artist and piece featured. This is one of my favorite art introduction books for little kids - it has great breadth, fun questions, and adorable Miffy!
