With questions addressed to the reader, cute animals and simple puzzles on each page, the small paperback picture books invite engagement. They follow a predictable pattern with high interest content and accessible explanations. These Why Do... books are especially fun because after each biological enquiry, a fantastical theory is posited before the true explanation is presented. Little ones will be saying, "No, whales don't sing for Ocean's Got Talent!" and "No way is a macaw trying to hide in a rainbow!" In addition to the cute illustrations and fascinating facts, photographs and additional information is presented as back matter.
