Mom's Review
I am not usually a graphic novel reader, but the premise of The Awl intrigued me. Unfair and illegal labor practices do not sit well with the main character, so he allies himself with a union organizer and tries to effect change in the workplace. This is a bit of an over simplification, but his position as manager makes his path toward the decision and the fallout from it that much more tense to read. I was captivated and read The Awl in one sitting! I absolutely want to continue the series - I can't wait to get my hands on Volume 2!
