Mom's Review
Atlas of Prehistoric Animals is a fascinating and accessible book of prehistoric creatures from the aquatic beings of the Paleozoic Era through early man. I tried to flip through to get a quick initial impression before settling in to read, but I kept getting pulled in to read about life forms whose names I can barely pronounce. So interesting is the content, beautiful (or horrifying) the illustrations, and smooth the language that it was easy to just read. And a lot of the creatures I've not read about before, so I kept wondering, "What is that?" I would have loved to have this in my classroom, especially as a resource when teaching about early humans. I unreservedly recommend Atlas of Prehistoric Animals for any middle grader (and their adults).
