Mom's Review
Beti and the Little Round House is a truly spectacular early chapter book. Featuring Beti and her pet lamb, Naughty, four seasonal stories capture the excitement of a little girl growing up, facing new responsibilities and disappointments, and having fun in the forest where she lives in a traditional roundhouse. While her abode may be different from that of many readers, her experiences and feelings are universally relatable. The illustrations are lovely and ideally placed for young readers still accustoming themselves to reading lengthier texts. And the text! The stories are captivating! Atinuke's writing whisks the readers away to Beti's side, snuggling Naughty, playing by the stream, and catching escaping horses. I strongly recommend Beti and the Little Round House for children moving into chapter books.
