Mom's Review

There's a Mountain in this Book is a cool guide to mountains - how they are formed, what lives where, and when to climb specific peaks. With flaps to lift and a key to mountain zones in the margins, this non-fiction picture books engages the reader in literally hands-on way. This is a beautiful introduction to a geological formation readers can encounter across the globe.

You can jump around, reading straight through or only bits that interest you - small chunks of inset text explain different elements of each illustration. I think it would be ideal for browsing. Great for nature- or geology-loving kiddos!
