Mom's Review

Why on This Night?
is excellent for children and families. Text for the Haggadah proper is in Hebrew, transliterated Hebrew, and English. Plus, there are explanations, questions, and helpful illustrations.

I like how this Haggadah not only leads one through the Seder but helps children (or anyone, really) understand the ancient ritual's meaning and its current relevance with clear explanations and questions to prompt critical thinking. Furthermore, music, creative activities like making a faux-stained glass wine glass for Eiljah, and recipes are engaging resources for the family to expand the scope of Passover beyond the Seder itself.

Why on This Night?
is an accessible tool that expands one's understanding of and appreciation for Passover. As a non-Jew who has only celebrated Passover once - decades ago- I found this text very easy to understand and follow. Just having celebrated Easter and Holy Thursday, it also allowed deeper understanding of what was happening during Christ's Last Supper.
