Best dog alphabet book ever! First of all, D is for Dog has a delightful cadence and word choice for reading aloud. Second, the selections for each letter fit dogs perfectly. Third, the illustrations are cute and fun and full of movement. And fourth, back matter shows and names each dog breed featured in the book, from Afghan Hound to Zwergspitz (Pomeranian). How cool is it that a dog whose breed starts with each letter is featured in the illustration of the term that each letter is for, like "F is for flopping" has a fox terrier, but you don't even know that until you get to the back matter. It makes the whole book take on another level of awesomeness!
D is for Dog is adorable and something an adult can comfortably read on repeat!
