I absolutely love this! Inspired by the "Pangur Ban" poem. The White Cat and the Monk will resonate with any who love cats. I love the silent storytelling in the illustrations and how the light and shadows in those illustrations reflect and highlight the light and shadow in the monk's life. The more one looks, the more one finds to contemplate and appreciate in this picture book.
A "must" for those with an appreciation of illuminated manuscripts, cats, and the wisdom-seeking life.
