Review
"Yeah, that's a good one!" – T, when asked if I should read him Goldilocks and the Three Engineers

Told in rhyme that makes you (read: me) get really into the beat, Goldilocks and the Three Engineers is a new take on the traditional 3 bears you know. In this one, inventor Goldilocks leaves her cottage for a bit, and the three bears come in and tinker with her designs, improving several inventions. When she returns to the cottage, they all agree to work together next spring.

T got into the rhythmical reading with me, chanting along at different points. This take on Goldilocks is fun, promotes creativity, and invites young readers to engage with accessible text. I recommend it for new readers because of the flowing language, inventors because of of the content, and children who like Goldilocks or twists on fairy tales because of the obvious.

Next, T wants to read Moldilocks and the Three Scares, which I've never heard of before this. But, hey, he likes these fairy tale twists, so I guess a visit to the library is in order.
