Review
Following Pop-Up Volcano! in this fun series, Pop-Up Earth grabs the reader's attention with large, bright, intricate pop-ups and then educates on topics ranging from volcanoes to biodiversity to the water cycle and beyond. Small text and slightly complex sentences make this a better one for me to read to T while he explores the illustrations. Because each page is not only self-contained, but also has several boxes with information, Pop-Up Earth is easy to pick up and explore at one's leisure – no need to read it straight through, or even read all of the two-page spread. We included the volcano and Earth's layers sections in our recent volcano unit.

Pop-Up Earth invites the curious child to explore and learn. We're looking forward to reading Pop-Up Moon in our upcoming space unit. I'm interested to see where this whole series goes. It sure is a visually stunning one!
