Build a Castle Slot Card Review

Build a Castle: 64 slot-together cards for creative fun

Mom's Review
So, this is a bit different for us; it's not a book, but it is from a publisher we know. This castle construction set is absolutely as cool as it sounds! With 64 cards that are slotted to lock together in various configurations, you can build countless castles. It took us a couple of minutes to get the hang of different ways to slide them together, but an instruction sheet shows what to do. What it doesn't do is tell you how to build a complete castle – the finished product is totally up to you! The information sheet also explains the different prints on each card, such as what heraldry is, how a portcullis was made and used, and why turrets were useful. T had a blast building and I enjoyed myself as well when he let me build a section with him.

Son's Review
(Age: 5)
Before building:
I really like castles and I really like building, so this seems like the perfect thing for me. It looks pretty cool. I want to build my own castle, but I don't know how. This might be hard.

While building:
The castle's looking great! I would say now I could go by myself. This is cool! I'm having fun!

As he finished building the first castle:
I'm having a LOT of fun!

T continued to comment throughout the rest of the afternoon how much he liked his castle and how fun building was. We both agree, this is so much fun. Right now, LEGO guys are guarding it, and there is a prisoner and executioner in the dungeon!

Extra: Pavilion produced a video showing the building process. There is also a coloring sheet printable on their website.
