Little Mo and the Great Snow Monster is a cute story reminiscent of traditional tales wherein the wronged, weaker party outwits the stronger wrongdoer and saves the day. The unique twist here is that the wrongdoers are dinosaurs and the wronged is a tiny, early mammal. Back matter provides a very broad overview of the evolution of life on Earth.
The art is lovely, softening the fearsomeness of the "monsters" and evoking that magical feeling of the first snowfall.
With a big storm this weekend, I can't think of a cozier read with a little kiddo!
