A Gallery of CatsBy Ruth Brown

Mom's Review
If you love cats and art and imagination, A Gallery of Cats is for you. When Tom wanders away from his grandmother on a museum visit, he befriends cats who step out of their paintings. Named for the artists whose style of works they populate (think Gustav for the cat in the gold-bedecked Klimt-esque work), the cats follow Tom as he explores the gallery. The boy explores, with an ever-increasing trail of cats behind him, and enjoys a range of art styles. A Gallery of Cats does a spectacular job of sparking imagination and interest in art. Sparse text leaves ample for that imagination to take flight in this absolute delight of a book. This would be a perfect read before a museum trip - or even while one is at a museum.
