Mom's Review

Dinosaurs for Kids
is a great introduction that a parent and child could share. It's easy to read aloud and it is comfortable to flip through. The informational text is written in a style and with a vocabulary that is accessible to primary and middle grade readers, featuring clear, interesting explanations of what is and isn't a dinosaur, the geological eras, and the types of fossils. The second portion of the book is a manual categorizing the different kinds of dinosaurs and including size, habitat, high-interest facts, diet, and a pronunciation guide for their names. And the small size of the publication makes it perfect for slipping in one's pocket (or mom's purse) for on-the-go reading.
