Review
It's a gloomy winter day. Know what I love to do on gloomy winter days? Become one with the couch and lose myself in a book. The Garden of Promises and Lies would be perfect for today, if I hadn't already finished it. It was excellent, but I now have a complaint: it's done and the fourth book has not yet been published.

If you haven't read the first two books, I highly recommend them! In this third book, Brackston fleshes out the Spinners' world. Xanthe travels back in time to thwart a new power grab by Benedict Fairfax that could disrupt history. Taking a companion with her, she tests the limits of her power and learns more about the Spinners' history. Mystery, drama, love, and Spinner-intrigue captivate the reader, while relationships develop and characters grow organically, spiriting the reader away into a new reality completely. The Found Things series has quickly become a favorite, and this installment does not disappoint. Brackston's backstory and the character development over the course of several books is one of my favorite things about her writing –  everything grows organically and just works! Now I just need the fourth book.
