Mom's Review

Death on the Green is the second delightful mystery in the new Dublin Driver series by Catie Murphy. The mystery, the humor, the pacing, and the characters make for an ideal reading experience, captivating the imagination and keeping the outside world at bay.

In this installment, Megan Malone continues her work as a chauffeur, which brings her into another murder investigation. This time, she finds a golfer's body in a water hazard while accompanying a client onto the green. Even if readers are not interested in golf (I'm not), the salacious celebrity gossip on the course is enough to pique anyone's interest. The compelling mystery keeps the reader interested as it unfolds logically; Megan's involvement is organic. Deeper layers of her character are also revealed, making her more likable. Are you getting the impression that believability is important for me in a cozy mystery? I want reasonable characters whose involvement is plausible and an investigation that would make sense to Sherlock and Watson. Catie Murphy delivers.

Reading plans for 2021? Keep up with the Dublin Driver series!
