Son's Review
(Age: 5)

It's true stories. It's about magic from different time periods. That's a GOOD book. I like the automatons. There are even speech bubbles. I love it!

We mainly learned about magician tricks. People could be in a box and sawed apart and the magicians put the people together. And also draw a card out of thin air. And make things appear. My favorite trick was how the magicians brought a dead duck back to life and it wasn't a zombie duck...by snapping his fingers!

We even learned that there are classes for learning magic when you are very young, when you are 7. That's something I want to do maybe. It said you can practice a trick at home over and over until you feel you know it, but you have to do it looking in a mirror. We found out you have to talk to the crowd so they don't notice what you're doing. That's why magicians talk so much. But I don't need to practice that.

Mom's Review
I think T pretty much covered it. Marvelous Magicians is an exciting look at magic shows through the ages. Fascinating, marvelously illustrated, and highly appealing!
